I connected to so much in your story and saw myself reflected there. From the silence, to thyroid disease, to rebellion turned self silencing with alcohol, to the openness of my youthful heart drawing inspiration to open back up now. Beautiful, thank you.

The first flower I ever attempted to have in my flower garden after I got married was a bleeding heart. The hummingbirds loved it and so did I. There is so much in this piece that I can relate to.

This took me to a garden i had in Denver with bleeding hearts. I have a whole new deep appreciation for them and you. Just so elaquantly stated. Made me think of the many generations of quiet women as well. Im more quiet now and appreciate everything i learn from you. You are a gifted writer ~ so glad i am connected to you.
